Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, also known as Botafo and familiarly as Estrela Solitaria is a Brazilian sports club based in Botafogo, neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, best known for its soccer team. The team which is currently playing in the Campeonato Carioca, Rio de Janeiro’s state league, and the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, presented its new home, away and third soccer jerseys for the 2012/13 season made by Puma.
The new home soccer jersey keeps its traditional white and black stripped design; however on its back top side all the way to the middle of it, has a solid black color. On the front side of the shirt and across the middle is the Guaraviton sponsor. On the top right side is the white Puma logo while on the opposite the club’s badge. It has a buttoned round collar neck with white lines on its sides. Half of its shoulders are solid black (Back side)while the other is black and white (front side). The sleeves follow shirt’s main design with black hems.
On the other hand, the away soccer jersey has a more clean design. The shirt is mostly black with gold details on it. On the front side of the shirt Guaraviton sponsor runs across in black letters, and a gold background. On the chest area a fire pattern in a brighter black was placed where on its inside is the gold Puma logo (right) while on the opposite the club’s badge. It has a cut in “v” black with bold pinstripes collar neck. There are no details on its shoulders, followed by black sleeves with gold hems.
The third soccer jersey keeps the alternative’s template. In this case the shirt has a white background color, with black and gold details on it. The main characteristic can be seen on the chest area where a black horizontal band was placed.
