The new City home strip, which goes on sale on Thursday, July 12th, sees the introduction of the colour black to the shirt. Traditionally a part of City’s kits throughout its history, the greater show of black brings a powerful new look to the kit, which also boasts a vibrant red on the shirt with red shorts and red socks.
The new home kits will also feature Adidas Formotion, engineered to maximise freedom for the wearer and are designed to also optimise comfort. The new kits also have sculpted hem and leg openings to accommodate specific football movement, providing ultimate performance.
City midfielder Cole Skuse, pictured in the strip, told bcfc.co.uk: “As a fan growing up there was always a sense of excitement when the new season’s kit was launched and I think this new look from adidas is very dynamic and will please the supporters. It’s certainly a hit amongst the lads.”
The first time fans will see the 2012/13 home kit in action at Ashton Gate will be Louis Carey’s testimonial match against local rivals Bristol Rovers on Saturday, August 4th (1pm).
Club captain Louis told bcfc.co.uk: “The new kit is superb and I’m especially pleased we’ll get to wear it for the first time at Ashton Gate for the Bristol derby match. I can’t wait to wear it.”
