Defensor Sporting a popular team from Uruguay has launched its new home and away soccer jerseys made by Penalty. The new sportswear clothing company will be dressing Defensor Sporting at all levels, including soccer and basketball for the next three years. The club finished its contract relationship with Kappa, who was dressing “Los Violetas” (Violets) until last year.
The new outfits were presented officially on a fashion show that the club organized yesterday, however, the new kits were used already for the local Uruguayan championship.
Both soccer jerseys have a common style and design, the home shirt is purple with a retro “v” neck in white with purple in the middle. It has white cuffs and so are the club’s sponsors. On the other hand, the away has a white background with a horizontal purple band in the middle were the sponsor was placed in white letters. The collar is purple with a white line in the middle, and so are its cuffs.
