Fila, proud kit suppliers of Oldham Athletic, have today released the first picture of the new Latics’ away kit for the 2012-2013 season. This is the second of the two new playing strips released by the Italian Heritage brand ahead of the new campaign following the release of the popular home kit at the start of May.
The bespoke kit, modelled by Latics’ defender James Tarkowski, is tangerine with blue piping and shorts and is expected to be a big hit with fans.
Oldham Athletic Commercial Manager, Jenny Warburton, said: “We are delighted with the new kit produced by Fila. The tangerine embraces the club’s rich heritage whilst maintaining the modern and stylish design which has been created for the forthcoming season.”
Fila, established in 1911, have an Italian heritage few can dispute. They have maintained a reputation of producing the finest sporting goods producing kits for the likes of the Italian and Scottish national teams.
Latics’ fans will experience the same quality in both new kits along a number of other Football League teams sporting the Fila brand including Blackpool, Notts County and AFC Bournemouth.
Guy Walker, JD Sports Head of Football, added: “We have built up a fantastic relationship with the club over recent years and are looking forward to the launch of the new away kit.
“The reaction to the previously launched home kit has been very positive and we are sure the new away kit will lead to an equally positive response from the fans.”
