Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras a soccer club based in Sao Paulo and four times Brazilian Serie A champion presented its new kits for the 2011/12 season made by Adidas.
The new home soccer jersey was inspired in the 1951 Copa Rio won by the Paulista team where its club’s badge is identical to the same one worn in that era.
For the first time in Brazilian soccer history, one team will have a uniform with Techfit and Formotion technology. As expressed by the Adidas representatives, “is an honor for the brand to partner with one of the biggest soccer clubs in Brazil. It gives us a lot of pride,” remarks Rodrigo Messias, Marketing director of Adidas Brazil.
The alternative soccer jersey is mostly white with green and red details on it, featuring the Italian national colors in recognition of the club’s Italian roots. The club’s badge is on the center at the chest level inside a bi-color band, green on the right side and red on the left side where a nice and interesting effect was added with the club’s name written in white letters. The Adidas green logo is just below its cut in “v” red polo neck where its edges are green and white on the inside.
