When most people thought that Peru would keep last Copa America soccer jersey design (3rd Place) Umbro proved you wrong. Today English sportswear clothing company and the Federacion Peruana de Futbol announced a re-designed home soccer jersey for the coming 2014 South America FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The “Roji-Blancos” will be premiering this new kit when they face on October 7th Paraguay’s national team in Lima.
The new home soccer jersey was designed by Sumy Kujon, a famous Peruvian designer who has already designed other soccer jerseys club (Crystal, Universitario). The new model keeps the shirt’s basic design, but adds some innovative details on it. This details can be seen in a more stylized sash, a modified FPF badge (Permission granted by the Federation), and the “Tahuantinsuyo”(Quechua for the Inca Empire) colors placed on the collar area all the way to the neckline.
