Portsmouth Football Club an English soccer club based in the City of Portsmouth and currently playing in the Football League Championship (relegated from the Premier League 2009-10) presented its new third soccer jersey for the 2011-12 season made by the Italian sportswear clothing company Kappa.
According to its official website: Pompey have revealed the club’s third kit for the 2011/12 campaign.
The Kappa kit consists of a black and red shirt, reminiscent of the popular away strip worn during the mid-1990s.
It is accompanied by red shorts and black socks
The back of the neck bears the legend “Zeal Does Not Rest” – the motto of HMS Ark Royal since 1921, which has its origins in Lord Howard of Effingham’s victory over the Spanish Armada in 1588. The shirt features gold Omini logos to both shoulders.
Fabrication is 92% Polyester 8% Spandex, featuring Scotchgard technology which wicks moisture away from the skin while maintaining breathability.
