Real Madrid will play their first match in their third kit for 2012/2013 in Seville. The new kit, which is a novel, striking green and also includes a commemorative inscription for the club’s 110th anniversary on the inside of the collar, will be available from Monday in official Real Madrid and Adidas shops and from other authorized dealers. It will be the first time that Real Madrid put on a green shirt for an official match.
Real Madrid’s third kit, which represents the club’s great tradition and past, stands out for the design and elegance consisting of vertical lines on the front which form the basis of a retro-inspired pattern. The new feature of this kit is the dark green with shiny silver in the logo and in the stripes, embroidery, name and number. The new colour scheme has the intention of adding to the great history and the bright future of a club like Real Madrid.
The collar, which combines a v-neck shape on the outside and a round-neck shape on the inside, ensures the players’ comfort and includes a special detail on the inside; a 110th anniversary commemorative inscription. Also noteworthy is the training kit that accompanies this kit.
Adidas Climacool™ Technology
The shirt is made from Climacool™ technology. This technology, exclusive Adidas, helps the athlete to control body temperature and helps perspiration through the use of technical fabrics.
The first time that Real Madrid football will wear green in an official match
It will not be the first time that Real Madrid has worn a green shirt, although it will be the first time in a competitive match. The only time that the Whites have worn green was almost half century ago, on 25th August 1965, at the Caracas Olympic Stadium (Venezuela). A shirt clash with River Plate, who they were playing in a pre-season friendly, lead to that change
