St. Mirren Football Club is a Scottish professional soccer club based in Paisley, Renfrewshire that was founded in 1877. The team which currently plays in the Scottish Premier League, and is managed by Danny Lennon, presented its new third anniversary kit for the 2012/13 season made by the Italian sportswear clothing company Diadora.
According to its official site: The new 135th Anniversary 3rd Kit for next season went on sale yesterday and had its official launch at JD Sports in Braehead Shopping Centre.
St Mirren manager, Danny Lennon along with players, Jeroen Tesselaar and Nigel Hasselbaink were at the store to meet fans for a bit of chat, sign autographs and pose for photogrpahs. And talking of
photographs, Official Website photographer, Allan Picken was also at JD Sports to capture all the action.
Last summer the fans were asked to give their views on three proposed designs for a new 3rd kit to celebrate the Club’s 135th anniversary this year.
The most popular choice was the scarlet and blue hooped strip based on the first design of strip to be worn by St Mirren Football Club when they started their football story way back in 1877.
