The Sweden 2013/14 adidas home and away kits were officially unveiled at a press conference in Stockholm on Wednesday. Their launch follows the announcement of a six-year technical sponsorship deal between the Swedish Football Association (Svenska Fotbollförbundet / SvFF) and adidas last week.
According to Sweden’s national football team: The pride that the players feel when playing for the national team has been the starting point in the design of the new shirt. Inspiration was been taken from the adidas-shirts the Swedish national teams wore in the 90s.
The new home kit is a stylish and classic yellow shirt with the iconic stripes in blue on the shoulders. It features a v-neck with blue details while SvFF shield is clearly visible on the jersey chest. The shorts are blue with yellow stripes and details and the association shield placed on the right leg. The socks are yellow with a vertical blue stripe and SvFF written over the shin.
The Sweden 13/14 away kit is a dark blue hue. It features the gridwork of Stockholm’s Friends Arena on its chest. This symbolizes that the national team is now in a new phase, with a new supplier, a new national stadium and many interesting new young players on the way to break through.
