The new Tango Argentina 12 has a pearly white base in combination with various shades of blue and silver on its graphics. Inspired by Argentina’s flag, it has engraved the sun, and the Argentine Football Association’s (AFA) emblem. It also has the most representative icons associated with its passion; flags and confetti, symbols used by the Argentine fans to encourage their players.

A group of avid River Plate fans have started a Facebook group to promote a change in the soccer jersey the team will wear in the B division of Argentina next season. The idea is that the River Plate jersey will never be relegated to B division. They promote a change in the color of the stripe from Red to Black. The idea of this fans is that the jersey should change to the traditional red stripe once it is promoted to A division again. Click here to check the Facebook group and be part of this original initiative. They also came up with a nice video to promote this idea

Days before there were rumors and articles on different websites that claimed to have pictures of Argentina’s 2011 soccer jersey, well the story is still unnofficial ,but we have a picture of the 2011 Home/Away Argentina soccer jersey. It will be officially presented on Tuesday on a show that will take place in Buenos Aires (capital).

As you can see the Home soccer jersey uses Spain’s template, two wide and clear white stripes with a dominance of the sky blue color. It has a white polo neck embroidered with gold edges. The emblem has now a new format with a black background giving the effect of a more focused and centered Adidas logo. The sleeves will have a more define blue dominance with white details on the cuffs.

On the other hand Argentina’s Away soccer jersey neck and cuffs will be in sky blue color and embroidered in gold. On the center it will have a sky blue horizontal band where the emblem back numbers and the Adidas logo are placed. The new style design is complemented with two under the logo lines in sky blue and white colors, one bigger than the other one. We will have more details once the soccer jersey is officially presented.

During last Wednesday Copa Libertadores Cup match between Argentinos Juniors and Fluminense it was not the only news that the Argentinean team played another game at the oldest club competition in the world after several years of absence, but also that they played wearing a football shirt which

design was chosen by their fans. In the opening game of the group 3 of the Copa Libertadores, Fluminense from Brazil was playing against “Los Bichos”, as it is known Argentinos Juniors in their home country. Because the home kit of Fluminense was Red and Green, which is similar to the red jersey that wears Argentinos Juniors, the Argentinean team had to wear the away kit. For the occasion, they not only wore a redesigned alternative kit, but also a newly colored done. Their fans voted in the official website of the institution to wear for the first time a sky blue jersey during a match (it is their 3rd away kit). The kit was worn for the only time for the opener of the Copa Libertadores Cup. They will play with their original red jersey the next matches. Another interesting fact was that they wore two sponsors, Opticas Diniz and Minds English School, just for that match and the rematch against Fluminense.

“Estudiantes” name comes from as its openly describes a group of mainly student who decided to found the club with their profession name. The design and colors on its official soccer jersey team were established since its beginning. Their history goes back on February 28th 1906 when an assembly was being held to propose its colors, their first members, the Alumni (top Argentine soccer team), decided that the red and white vertical stripes will be worn.

However, some soccer historians said that “Estudiantes” wore during those first years a red jersey with a stripe on its chest, but the Argentinian soccer rector that regulated the matches did not allow them to wear it since its model was very similar to the Alumni’s soccer jersey.

History

At the begining of the twentieth century, the teams of Argentina and Uruguay played continuously between them. The Uruguayan teams dreamed of beating the powerful Alumni team from Argentina, which only lost 2 tournaments between 1900 and 1911 (this is the year they disappeared). The 10th of April of 1910, in Parque Central, River Plate of Montevideo beat a Alumni 2 to 1, using a sky blue jersey because their regular jersey was similar to the one of Alumni. At the sixth edition of Limpton Cup, the argentinians proposed that Uruguay changed its striped jersey, which was similar to the one of Argentina, because that uniform was officially adopted by “Argentine Association Football League”.

The delegate from Montevideo Wanderers, another Uruguayan team, Ricardo Le Bas, proposed that in order to honor the victory of River Plate against Alumni, the Uruguayan national team should use a sky blue jersey. Le Bas initiative, supported by the president of the league, Hector R. Gomez (who made this requests as one of his own), was approved by all the members of the parliament of the Uruguayan league. The 15th of August of 1910, Uruguay, wearing for the first time the sky-blue jersey (or “Celeste” as it is well known) beat Argentina 3 to 1 in Montevideo Wanderers field, in Belvedere).

The first soccer jersey of Boca Juniors was pink, which was changed shortly for a black and white vertical stripped one. There are two versions why the decided to change their original jersey: 1) there are those who said that in 1906 Boca lost a soccer match where the colors of the jersey were at play, 2) others claim that the reason for the change was that its players and fans were constantly mocked by others because the colors were too “feminine”. Anyway, after the loss, decided to look for new official colors.

The original jersey color was pink, which was quickly abandoned for thin black-and-white vertical stripes. The legend has it that in 1906 Boca played another team that used these colors, to decide who would get to keep them. Boca lost, and decided to adopt the colors of the flag of the first boat to subsequently sail into the port at La Boca which was the 4146 ton freighter Drottning Sophia, sailing from Copenhagen. As the boat was from Sweden, yellow and blue were adopted as the new team colours. The first version had a yellow diagonal band, which was later changed to a horizontal stripe.[AffomaticEbay] boca juniors jersey [/AffomaticEbay]
